PD GOAL 1: Become certified in Career Coaching to better assist students I work with in college prep programs and students in higher education.

• Join National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) to learn the best practices and to have access to webinars and other resources to ensure that I am well rounded in career coaching.

• Apply to the certificate program by the end of my first professional year.

• Secure funding for tuition through personal savings or support from institution.

• Complete 1-course per semester.

• Complete HEA 689

• Conduct research on why students of color typically do not seek mental health assistance

• Start a blog about Black students mental health - incorporated with pictures

• Work closely with D’Youville’s HEOP Department
